They are light: The mesh outer construction is airy, but waterproof. The sole is comfortable for everyday use with a combination of EVA and Ortholite inner soles, but equipped with a ZPLATE shank to protect the ankle in a spill. There are protective zones and padding where you would expect, except for the shin obviously. But, what nails it are the comfort and the looks.
